Question on Nitto 555r
.What i'm trying to tell you is that it is very hard to compare the same tire on two different cars. What works on one car may not work another. From my experience, people have mixed results with 555R's... some people's cars can make them work and others swear they are no better than a regular street tire. I'm sure your quite experienced at the local track and the "other local track"
, ask around and see what everyone thinks is the best drag radial. Your going to get a handful of different answers. Some will say M/T, Hoosier, Toyo, etc. it all comes down to combination. Just because your car doesn't seem to like 555r's doesn't mean that its a crap tire.I switched to the stock springs with the hose mod and it was a night and day difference. You should try it. It might do the same for you. Lowering the car takes away from the weight transfer the car needs to plant the tires effectively.....
