245/45/17?? Wtf?
Why would somone run a 245/45/17 on all 4 corners on 98-02 ws6???
Is there any benefit to this? Also the tires deff looked way stretched, should I confront the owner and attempt to get him to at least go back to a 275? Hell im running a 285 in the rears of mine?!!!
Cliffs, is running a 245/45/17 street tire a good or bad idea On a 98+ ws6 and why?

@ISMELLRICE i would of thought your sense of smell is better. The tires are the "hella flush" on a damn trans am.... Rice is rice, and although at 65 his speedo will be off .05 mph it still looks stupid.
Maybe the guy just doesn't know since the wheels are not factory eaither.

it doesn't look bad at all
Anyway, back to the original question...maybe he's trying to save some money or maybe these are his winter wheels. Skinnier tires are better in the snow and rain than wider tires.

could have been tire store choice more so? i had to get 245/40s on the front only cause anything taller would rub the inner fender on the right side. After checking it out i noticed my kmember sits 1/8" or so forward on the right. Ill straighten it out and get 275s when these wear out since i just had it aligned.

Probably not old enough to know what it likes to actually have to buy them his/her self yet and I'm guessing he/she won't be back. Doesn't seem to frequent this thread since all the more talk on here about his/her ignorance.
