Heading to the 1/4 mile track with Toyo R888's - Questions
Alright, so tomorrow I'm heading down to the local 1/4 track for the first time ever with my bolt on LT1 Z. Never been to the track before in any car.
I'm running 315/30/18 Toyo R888's out back and I'm not sure if these tires need to be warmed up? I hook pretty good with these on the street so I guess a burnout won't be necessary...
Also, is there an ideal tire pressure I should be running?
Thanks.

make some pass and see! if you hook well on the street, start right there, with no burnout, if it won't work, try with a burnout or a quick spin. after that, well, begin to play with air pressure. I will say start around 25 psi and see what happen. don't forget to try different way to lunch the car off the line! have fun tommorow!

Like said before start with a quick spin to clean them off. I'd start at 24psi and work my way down to no lower then 20psi. bump up the fronts to 45-50psi. Stage the car at 1000rpms and stab the gas at the last yellow, feel for any wheel spin and control the throttle until you can reach WOT w/ out any spin. Should be at the 100ft mark or about the top of first gear.
