I just bought a black T/A that has black ZR1's on it 17x9.5 all the way around that I will be getting rid of soon so I spent a few days deciding between black rims and chrome rims so I met in the middle and bought C5 Deep Dish with black vents.

Black is a nice color for a car but every time I looked at a black t/a or camaro with black rims with the "murdered" look all that came into my head was a honda ricer with hubcaps as rims because they cant afford an actual set of rims.

Chrome was a bit on the hefty side of price for me so thats why i got the machined black vents. But I recommend chrome, it just brings out the car more than black on black, IMO.

So I guess the centennial Corvette is ricer?? God I wish people would stop generalizing anything that's "different" with being ricer! Do what you want! I think all black wheels look better than black with lip.

Chrome I think it's a generational thing. In this area the older guys like me go for chrome and the younger ones go for black.
