New Hoosier 275/40R17 Drag Slicks?! Questions too.
Wow. Finally. Saw these yesterday while browsing heavily to find a good 28" tall tire to run on my WS6 17x9's. My BFG DR's are going out and their nearly bald less-than 25.7" dia. isn't workin out so well with my camless car running 4.11s . Was looking at the M&H 275/50R17's drag radials as a taller replacement but MANN ran across these puppies! and 28X10-17's wouldn't that make them 275/50R17's like the M&H DR? If you haven't seen these yet, I'm not crazy:

What do you guys think? Anyone running these yet? Results? I'm thinking:
-early christmas present for my car
-they're slicks!! AND THEY'LL FIT.
-they're cheaper than my BFG DR's (?!!)
-they're ALOT cheaper than M&H DR's, and MT's (which arent 28")
-they're 3lb lighter, per tire.
-they're 28"
-they're bound to be stickier, right?
For someone like myself who has an old extra pair of WS6 rims lying around with drags on em to change out at the track, this seems like a godsend :::insert heavenly angel chior "aahh" here:::. Words of wisdom? Any appreciated. And if you haven't seen these yet and have been looking for something like this, here ya go!

right on thanks for the input, i just wish they came a little taller or i'd be on a set of those. i also don't think i'll be allowed to run these at the track with them being bias plys out back and regular street tires up front. I haven't checked the rulebook in awhile but i'm pretty sure most tracks wouldn't allow it. i don't think sac raceway would mind too much though. might just settle for the M&H which are more expensive but at least are radials.
