I am debating on getting a set of 17's for the rear for cruising.. Not in the mood to drop a grand for rears at the moment though, but we'll see.. But everytime I walk out to the garage and take a peek, I don't see a reason for 17's in the rear.. It's a different look and isn't for everybody.. I was unsure of it until I put them on..

The setup looks great, but why not a 28" tire out back? You'll cut a better 60' on em.

Someday.. I need to do ABS delete, get a new rear, then will prob do 28's.. I had the 26's in the basement. I have cut a 1.50 60' with the 26's.. It was shortly after that I knew I had met the limits of my 10 bolt..

that looks really good.
Notice any handling difference between the 15 to the 17?

I see you have the M&H 185/55/17 on the front, and think you had MT Sportsman SR's for the 15's what size were thouse? Both rims 4.5 wide?

Yes, MT SR's up front(26x6), they were on a 3.75 rim initially, then a 4" rim.. I didn't get much drive time on the 17's, but I did not notice any difference..

cool, if you drive it more check on that.
I have the 15x3.5 greag weld with the 165 nexen radails. (the cheap $140 set) and they dont handle that well. I know could get some better tires like thouse SRs but thinking about getting rts for street wheels (17 front) if they handle better.

I won't know anything til next year.. Car is put away for the season.. I drove it on the highway and in town before I put it up, I am sure the 17's will be just fine.. My friend ran this exact rim and tire combo on his 3rd gen all year with out any issues..

If you buy before Dec 31st, there is a $25 per rim rebate..

After rebate rears $204 ea
fronts $432 ea

Rear tires I already had, but new $180ish ea, fronts were $165 ea(shipping was $40)..

I bought my rims from Jims racing tires(free shipping)..
