offset experts...quick question.
Im thinking about ordering some wheels I like, just wanted to ask about the offset on them, since I have no clue what so ever.
Wheels are 18x8 with 33mm offset, and 18x9 with 38mm, hub bore is 72.6mm Bolt pattern 5x120 (I am aware bolt pattern is a little off)
I want them for my 01 camaro, by the way Im running 1" adapters on all four if that helps. (car came with them when purchased)
Will these wheels bolt on? Thanks in advance

9inches = 228.6 millimeters... 114.3 (1/2 the rim width) will give you a 0 offset... 114.3mm + 38mm positive offset will give you 152.3mm clearance between inside edge of rim and mounting face of rim... conversion to inches should give you 6.99 inches of backspacing. (Fbod can handle 7.75" of backspacing and a little more with some persuasion.. I think thats how it works...
Also, the rims you are wanting are intended for a BMW... that means that if they are lugcentric, you will have to get a hubcentric ring/adaptor to make sure the stay centered on the axle.. The BMW rims have a 72.6 bore and your car has a 70.6 bore. I think you will be ok but you need to be told, they ARE NOT intended for your ride... I know Qcon runs a BMW rim with a comparable offset/fit. PM him and he will tell you all you need to know..

That is some really usefull information, thanks for sharing. I now have "the idea" on how the whole offset works. I went ahead and emailed the store to see if they could tell me if the wheels are hubcentric, or lugcentric. Thanks Again

I run bmw wheels (Luff M1) and I believe they have a similar offset to the ones you are intending to get .. they just stick out a bit but I like them that way ..
the offset shouldnt be a problem , plus they arent that wide so you wont have fender rubbing issues ( I think ) .. goodluck.

I didnt use anything , I just put them on ..
I dont know much about this hubcentric/lugcentric stuff but my mechanic was asking about what type of wheels I`m getting (he`s a good friend so I visit his shop a few times a week) , I had him check the wheels out and he said they would fit fine..
I havent had any problems till now either ...
