You could also look for "touchless" installation too....

Had my local Discount Tire mount mine. I spoke with the manager straight away and said this mounting process will require some "attention". Opened the boxes and his face went pale, lol. They changed all the "bumpers" out that touch the wheel to ensure they were new.

I work at a tire store in the Champaign Illinois area and when we have a higher end wheel come in, we do a reverse mount install and leave the plastic covers around the lips. Or we have rubber clamps that grip the lip as well. As long as you make it aware to the manager that they are extremely expensive and high priority there shouldn't be any issues. Another option would be to have a rubber grommet run around the lip of the rim to make sure the equipment doesn't touch the wheel

^ agreed, make sure the shop is reputable and while they are getting mounted, stand over the manager and hawk them to make sure it all gets done correctly lol

I was very close to ordering that set...but I decided to spend a little more and get the set where each lug is a lock. Just felt more comfortable to have that extra security...but I'm always paranoid though ![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)
This is the one off Thunder's website:
Part # 157-71633N
Gorilla Wheel Lock System, Acorn, Closed End, 20 PK (1 lock per stud), 12mm x 1.5
Regular Price: $44.99 - $4.50 (Black Friday discount)
I tried calling my local parts stores and no one stocks the Gorilla's. Only place local to me was Discount Tire but they were more expensive.
