The usual basic bolt-ons, cam and converter coming next. Probably won't go too far with it as I'm looking to add a 'vette to the stable in the next couple years.

I'm not sure what he means, all the lugs should fit fine. Maybe you might need hubcentric rings depending on the wheel?

Nice, always wanted a vette. And he seemed to know what he was talking about. Should I go somewhere else and ask? I was planning to get the rings, just can't find the right ones. They are going to go on Ruff 278s.

Tons of people run 278s without an issue. There is no reason to worry about this like you are. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Bolt it up yourself and see

It's just hard to believe that his guy does wheels for a living and is wrong. Haha.

Just because someone does something for a living doesn't mean they know what they're doing.

Yes, why do you continue to worry? The 278's will be fine.

I don't know, just something keeps holding me back. Don't know what it is. Could be that I'm low on cash....

Cash is one thing, but as far as the wheels go they WILL fit. As far as the guy at the shop, it's his job to try and talk you out of it. They weren't made for our cars so a business wouldn't put them on. Plenty of us run them without issue, it's just something to be aware of and like I said, for peace of mind check the lugs regularly.

I ran 5x120 for a very long time with 0 issues. I had a set of 19" axis super hiros, and also a set of 19" ruff racing 278's..
I say again..they bolted on fine, did not rub and I was sitting really low..check my album

But know that I tried to swap those 278's over to my z06, and they bolted on ...but they stuck out past both front and rear fenders about an inch..

The tires weren't wide either..295 rear..265 front..

Probably not. Most manufactuers offer the same rims in serveral lug patterns.
