you can do the 16x10 on the rear have no idea what kind of tire you could find for the front if you decided you were to run a 16x10 in the front. You will be limited on tire sizes for the rear either way. MT makes a drag radial in a 315/45/16, 295/50/16, a couple of ET streets and Hoosier and M & H make a couple of tires.

The thought of selling my 16's has run through my head on more than one occasion to make the switch back to a 15" wheel for the purpose of weight reduction and a huge amount of tire choices.

I looked into this in the past wanting to do something silly like widen my stock rears to 10" and 275/45 is the widest and only tire size I know of to fit a 16x10" but those would be full competition tires only. The widest street tires I know of for a 16" rim would be 255/50 but those would have to be stretched onto a 10" wide rim.

I've seen cars with 225's stretched on a 16x10's so a 255/50 will be fine. Just be aware its out of the recommended MFG rim width for that tire size and will have a little stretch to it so the rim might stick out a little farther than the tire but nothing crazy.

What tire and size do you have on your front 16x5 CCWs?
