Default Would you trade?

I'm thinking for getting rid of my Slicks & Skinnies for 2 reasons

1. The car rides like *** and has no handling capacities now....yes I know I'm getting old

2. There is no Drag Strip here in Kansas City anymore, and I can't street race anymore due to me getting my CDL.

Here's what the car looks like now:

I was talking to a fellow Catfish owner and I said something about getting rid of my wheels, he offered me a trade straight up for some 17X11 & 17X9.5 Grand Sport ZR1's from OE Wheel. He said the front tires have about 70% life and the rears have about 25%. I thought about it and said throw in 300 bucks and I'll think about it since the rubber on my wheels are BRAND new.

He came at me with a counter offer last night of trade + 250 bucks & we swap rear calipers since mine are ground down for the 15's.

The only thing wrong with the ZR1's are there is minor curb rash on one of the rears, and my 15's have been scared on the inside by the guy I bought them from but they still balance out.

Would you trade? I can't find a good picture of the black ZR1's on a NBM Camaro but my car came with Silver ZR1's (I sold them LONG ago because I had a set of TT2's)

i will say after driving on a drag set up for awhile now that it is a pita, listen i have tried to trade mine a few times now, you can pretty much get any rim , in the oe budget for your set up, i think the drag setup looks the best , and im not a fan of alot of the oe wheels. if you do it i will think you will be happy on how it rides and feels but not the look

what im going to do is go with a 17,15 set up, i would think a 17x7 would ride a lil better than a 15x3.5, another option if you wanted to kinda do the same thing is getting a set of the summit fast five wheels , they come in a 17x8 and match pro stars great, not the best track rim because there heavy but im sure they would ride alot better, and there only 149 a wheel and im sure you could fit a weld cap in the center

Hmm, idk. That drag set up of yours looks pretty dope. I would personally have both, buy his in full and keep yours

I wouldn't keep those garbage summit wheels, but I wouldn't trade for a set of ZR1s either. Sell them and buy a real set of big and littles

That'd be pointless. He doesn't have a track where he is and doesn't like the ride. Should just sell them and get a good pair of street wheels.

Eventually after I get some money saved up I'm gonna buy some Forged wheels, but I'm pretty sure I could sell the ZR1's easier than the Summits

Sounds like you have a plan set in stone then. No need for our opinions

Aside from having to turn slower, I really don't feel any difference in ride whether I have my big and little's on, or my CCWs.

even the knock off drag wheels will sell faster than zr1s trust me, you could sell them tonight if you wanted to, more people are after the look than light weight rims that will help at the track , honest just rock those untill ya can get some better wheels,
