Default what is a good performance tire?

What is a good summer performance tire that works great on the street and the track, has good tread wear, and still able to drive on wet roads. I have nitto DR's and and they did good, for the first few hundred miles and then they get hard and just spin everywhere. Iv also had M/T DR's and they wear very fast but grip until the day they die. What are your suggestions? The car is a DD. Thank You!!

555's are nice but im looking for a little more of a drag radial/slick. I guess if i have pick 2 i want traction and longevity. My buddy told me to just get some DOT slicks and call it a day. I laughed and told him there is now they would even last 1k miles with daily driving.
