Default Steer tires?

I think I'm going to go with the 555r on the rear but what do you recommend up front?

I wouldn't put the 555R's up front. I'd say do the 555's up front and the 555R's for the rear. The R's wear out faster and I'd be worried if I got caught in the rain with those, but that's me

The Nitto NT555 is a great tire. Regular 555s up front and 555R drag radials out back will be a nice setup.

I ran 275 555RIIs on the front with 315 555Rs on the rear. They are the same rubber compound, just different side walls. It worked very well, even in corners.

I got some Falken Ziex 512 tires pretty cheap and they seem decent. The rear tires are really much more important than the fronts.

I disagree. A couple bad tires on the front will make the car tramline which is the most annoying damn thing IMO. Also if you have any intention of taking corners (which I know people on this forum don't do), front end grip is very important. Yes you need good rears as well but I certainly wouldn't cheap out on the fronts.
