Wanted to do the exact same thing to my race stars then i bought the weld rts wheels chrome but it looks like i'll either be blacking them out like you did yours or i'll be selling them and ordering new black ones like your buddies wheels and having the rear end cut shorter for a 6.5 back spacing for a little more lip for look... The murdered out wheels look great though and i'm a hardtop non power inside car to man wouldn't have it any other way! So keep up the creative work keeping those of us who enjoy the same thing hungry to enhance our creativity and want to try new things!

I did the rear heater hose thing, other than that it is stock. However it has 150k on it, so it sits about an inch lower than all of the other stock suspension fbodies lol

I wouldn't think so, but I would find out from somebody that has run that backspacing personally!

I wonder how much faster your car would be with an LS6 intake. Looks great though, do you happen to know how much weight savings you got?

I'm thinking about doing a fast 90/90 and retuning, but our good weather just ended so there won't be any good DA for a while, and by the time the good weather is back i'm hoping to be a whole lot quicker anyways lol. As for weight savings, I removed spare, rear seats(but kept belts, I have a child seat in the RR that I run with) removed passenger seat for my 11.59 run, but kept my optima red top in. Then the wheels and tires. that's about it. I try to run under 1/4 tank at the track, and it's a hard top so that helps. Oh, and no washer fluid lol. I haven't removed bumper support yet or anything like that.

did you weigh just the rims themselves? my 15x10 with 275/60/15 mt et street radials weigh 53 lbs accordin to my scale which seems to much. mt lists the tires at 33 lbs so that means the 15x10 would weigh 20lbs and that just seems to heavy

I did weigh mine, but i can't for the life of me remember what they weighed. I KNOW it wasn't 20lbs. they are definitely light wheels. lighter than the 15x10 Weld RTS' we put on my friend's camaro

They sent my wheels by 2's in 2 different boxes and the weight for the boxes are

UPS Ground
39.00 LBS
35.00 LBS

Which seems way too heavy. I don't have a proper digital weight so i can't weight them I just hope the weight savings is worth it.

I ordered 15x8s and 15x3.75.
