315/35-18 tires -- where to get them?

Section height for a 275/35-18 is 96.25mm or 3.78"
Section height for a 305/30-18 is 91.50mm or 3.60"
Difference is less than 5mm or around 3/16".....to be fair this is multiplied x2 for total tire height differential, but still..... Maybe I need a better prescription for my glasses, but it's pretty hard to tell the difference in any angle let alone side by side.

Wheel gap has little to do with it. Anyway, Math has it all worked out for ya.....

If so, I have some simple advice for "ya . . . ." - as you so cleverly put it. Step 1: Squat. Step 2. Remove tampon. It's that easy.
Here's some pictures of a 315/30R18:

The owner of this vehicle also expressed his disgust concerning the narrow sidewalls.

I'm not sure if it's me but I sense a condescending tone in your post. I'm not sure where this is coming from as I've been cordial with you and have only expressed my opinion. Since I stated that 315/30R18 tires are too narrow, and being that you are an owner of aforementioned tire, are you offended by my comment and felt the need to publicly ridicule me in a mere attempt to console your own poor decision-making perhaps?

Typo in my previous post.... For some reason, I plugged in 305 and calculated as such. 315s are even closer to the 275s.....3.72".
Math doesn't lie. Some DRs manufacturers dimensions are quite different for some reason. Nittos being one of most consistent offenders. So whos tire is that? I assume its a DR? Same diameter wheel front to back? Obvious why you make the statement you did but it's not accurate if the tire manufactures dimensions are within "spec". Again, the equation is easy enough.
Mine prior to install.....

In case that isn't credible enough for "YOU"....

That size has many affordable options. I compared some statistics on tire rack between 295's and 315's last night, in several cases the tires were only 1/2" narrower. Comparing some tires actually went the other way, which kinda suprised me. I was planning on ordering some 17x11 DD ZR1's with 315/35/17 but I just cant stop thinking about a set of all black 18x10.5 C5 DD. Initially, I pretty much thru out the thought of buying the 18's because the tires cost a lot more per set for 315/30/18. But last night I researched the 295/35/18, and I may have decided on trying out the 18's now. also looking into 295/30/18 because they have the same overall diameter as the 315/30/18 and 315/35/17s

The only problem I'm having looking at Nittos is that the closest dealer to where I live is 33 miles away...how badly do you get raped on shipping when you order online?

OP, I had the same problem as you...the 30 series sidewall was too short for my liking. I am running a 275/40/17 front tire and I ended up with a 315/35/18 Toyo TQ drag radial from tire crawler. They are very nice tires for the money and perform well in the rain (this is my DD). Heavy rain and anything over 40mph do not mix well, but light rain is not a problem. Hope this helps.
