If you think this x275 tire is to narrow for a 10" wide wheel, you have no business buying this tire. Its a class specific race tire. The regular 275 is thinner and slightly shorter and still looks good and works great on a 10" wheel.
Both tires are awesome and work great on 8 and 7 second 1500 HP cars. There is a lot of bad information in this thread.

gator 99ta is completely correct. The X275 racers(the guys going high 4's in the 1/8 and mid 7's in the 1/4) are sure as hell not running less than a 10" rim and yes some of them are running wider(with beadlocks I think).Yes ec nova you should attend a radial tire race-see some great racing and learn some things.

The thing is it is not just radial tire class racers using 10" rims for their 275 dr's(MT and Hoosiers) but lots of regular racers and as pointed out above lots of guys on LS1 tech. Its a common combination and nothing unusual. You can find pictures in this section if your wondering how they look.

you're right, because 4 and 5 second 1/8th mile cars run the same suspension setup that the people inquiring on this thread run. They also don't run single and double beadlock. Do you even know WHY those cars run a wider wheel then they're supposed to? They make so much power that the only way to get down the track effectively is with controlled slip (15% give or take) so they run a tighter sidewall. This type of setup is COMPLETELY useless on 9/10/11 second cars. The sidewall geometry on a 15x10 with a 275/60 is not "ideal" and can hinder performance if the car is not setup properly. Sorry I base my info on fact, and not hearsay. I'll stop!

bottom 9 second pass on a 275/60/15 MT Radial on a 10 rim. With the same suspension as at least 75% of the people that actually race their cars,

The rocket scientist will cry this is photshopped LMAO.
You put it on a wider wheel to get a bigger contact patch, DUH HUH.
Bad *** pic Z.
I can run a 12 inch wheel on my 325's.
Madman and Brady ran a 12 or 13 inch wheel on a 315/60.
