DR's + Rain

I've found that Nitto DR's are great in the rain until they're about 50% worn - same as most soft compound street tires - as long as the weather is warm. They bite down to the surface and don't spin as easily as street tires, and the tread pattern is excellent for evacuation.
But at about 50% wear both of those assets are gone and they get dicey. In the cold, they get slippery. With the cold weather rain you have in Seattle, they probably aren't a good choice.
Remember that the BFG Sport Comp 2 is a summer tire and will be similarly compromised in the cold.

I'm running 315/35/18 Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials year round, daily driven. When they are new, you can run full highway speed in a rainstorm with no problems (I mean don't be a retard, but they are comfortable at highway speed).
Once I got some mileage on them, they became a little tricky. Two years later, and a blizzard, and many monsoons later, my car is still intact and on the road with the same tires. I recommend them, they are pretty much the best tire you can run on the street, in my opinion.

Nitto dr is the most streetable dr imo, thats the only one that hasnt almost got me in a crash in the rain, i had some close calls on mts, mhs, and you must know when drs go bald and you drive in the rain you are driving a death trap, just something to think about, imo you pick a dr to stick not to drive in the rain lol

I'm with everyonelse the Nitto's seem to do the best in the rain as long as your careful.
I had et streets on one time and got caught in a rain storm and just about wrecked my *** off lol. Mickey drag radials were ok too but not like nitto's.

I have 315/35/17s Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials, I only drive my car on the weekends on nice days BUT! I have been caught in a couple of down pours and it wasnt too bad considering I have 4.10 gears and 400+ at the wheels (without nitrous). But I did run M/T drs and even brand new those things where like walking on an ice rink with tap shoes on, even in mild rain.

I got some BFG Comp II's, and had no problems over the winter. They've done pretty well in the rain as well. I haven't had them at the track yet, so I can't vouch there, but they are a great road tire. I do have a habit of taking it extremely easy in wet conditions, due to totaling my first car (1994 Formie) in the rain while driving like an ***.

Honestly either way it sucks haha. I have to NITTO DRs, and they are annoying to drive in the rain, also no traction control so that doesn't help. Just drive with more sence and don't be stupid.
