Default Light scratches in my rims?

Is there any way to get rid of the light scratches on my rims? The guy that had them before me, I guess, wiped them off when they were dirty and scratched the hell out of of them, but at least they are very light scratches. I just want to get some advice before I end up messing them up even more. Can I buff them like you do paint with any success?

Thanks
Ryan

well if they are really light then a good metal polish should get them out. i HIGHLY recommend Mother's Billet Aluminum polish..its way more money than the cheaper Mother's or Blue Magic but worth its weight in gold..the cheaper polishes prolly won't emove the damage but the Billet will.

You can try by hand first as the pressure you can assert by hand will be most likely necessary to get the scratches out. After that you could use a dremel with a buff on it to really go to town on it..use the polish with the dremel still obviously.

if the scrathes still don't come out then you will need to sand them out and re polish the surface..

You can do that on chrome plated wheels? (use sandpaper on them)

If there chrome then I guess you can't really do anything to them. I had a set of chrome wheels and they also had minor scratches and no matter what I did the scratches were still there, good luck man.

Are Draglites common to have light scratches on them?

Draglites are plain polished aluminum. They'll polish up nicely by hand.
