Talking Bogart's on the street

I am looking at bogart's, I like several wheels they make! I have been reading on here that they are not really for the street... what makes them not for the street? Of course going around corners fast with skinnies is never a good thing to do, but what else?

My guess would be because they are so lightweight, street use could cause them to bend. I'm pretty sure they make Bogarts for street use. I was on their website not too long ago. There are a few guys on here running 17.9.5 and 17x11 Bogarts and run them on the street.

I think the 17x9.5 fronts and 17x11 would work great for both street and strip, but if stip is the emphasis, then go with 15 inch in the back. I think the D10's look pretty sick, especially in the 17 inch combo. 223Hawk used to run them.

I had force 5's once and broke two fronts and drove as careful as I could. Didn't matter still broke two fronts and payed like 150.00 each time to fix them. Badass looking wheel and they are the lightest but definitely not for the street. Never had a problem with the rears though. Maybe you can have better luck with them but like I said I was well aware and cautious about them.

Iv got a set that I run on the street a lot. Probably more than I should, but mine were built to do so. Talk to SJM manufacturing..Steve can help you out a lot. I just recently got two 15x4s just for the track for weight savings vs the 17x6 I use to run. You cant run a drag race only wheel on the street and expect it to last. My fronts are a Road Race wheel and the rears are a street/strip wheel. They do weigh more but not enough to worry about. I know they are built better and will last...

Thanks dude. I only care about what they look like, and i can run a skinny in the front, and some sort of 10 inch tire in the back.

i had a buddy who rolled around on the D10s for awhile but one day on the eway the right rear hub broke from the wheel itself . granted those rims had alot of hard hits on them on the street . your call bogart made it right and paid for damages
