Update: Took the wheels to get mounted and balanced, found out that one of the lips is bent and they can't be safely mounted. It looks like it was caused in shipping, but I'm not positive. I just contacted Tony, hopefully it gets worked out, but they certainly won't be on for at least a few more weeks as I'll have to get another one made. I don't know whether to cry or burn down a building....
Here are some pics of the current situation.

Yeah me too. At first I was crushed when I found out about it, then pissed, then felt helpless...and now I just hope it all gets taken care of in a reasonably timely manner without costing me anything. Worst case scenario: no one takes accountability and I have to buy a new wheel. They also might be out of cores for that size and I'll have to wait weeks/months. Best case: Forgestar or UPS takes care of it, and I have a new wheel rush ordered and on my doorstep in 2 or 3 weeks.
A few years ago I bought a vintage guitar on ebay and it showed up on my doorstep snapped in half. UPS didn't take care of that (based on ebay's policy, I was able to get my money back and I shipped the guitar back to the seller, who was ultimately screwed. I felt bad for him, but what can you do?). Anyway, UPS didn't pay for that even though it was OBVIOUSLY dropped hard in shipping, so I'm doubting they're going to take care of this one. Bunch of dicks...
This case is the same as that: All I know is that it sure as hell wasn't me who did it.

If UPS doesn't do the right thing, you could aways go and find the guy who does the drop offs for your address, take the already bent wheel, beat that mother ****** within an inch of his life and tell him to go ahead and take the now "bent to ****" wheel off your hands because you don't need it anymore. Just kidding, don't do that, but I bet it would make you feel better. Hell, if the wheels is already fucked, you might as well get your money's worth.

I heard back from Tony. He advised to make a claim with UPS, and meanwhile he will either get another wheel made or they will have the wheel fixed (which he said he has done numerous times on his personal cars) by a company in Houston. Either way, Forgestar is going to take care of it. **** happens, it's how you deal with it that makes the difference, and so far they've dealt with it very well.

Damn man that sucks. That is the reason I drove 400 miles to get my MWC rear axle though, I don't trust UPS with stuff like that. I have had so many thing damaged or dropped off at the wrong house, and calling and complaining doesn't seem to do anything.
Hopefully it comes out in the end, but having to wait a couple weeks doesn't help the situation at all.
