My r888's are a daily driver. NOw that I have 18,000 miles on them I can spin at will & are slippery in the rain. However, for the first 15,000 ( how can you ask for more with his type tire) they hooked like they had talons and handled well.
I'm looking for a new set as we speak & wouldn't change a thing.
It doesn't hurt that they look wicked also.

My Mickey Thompson's hooked my 520 whp T/A on the street in sub 40 degree weather. There is no way in hell I would ever run anything else unless I needed to daily the car.

I have the Toyo Proxis YA and they do well on the street in wet and dry. Don't compare to a M/T on the strip though. I have 6000 miles on mine and around 40 burnouts at the track but I'm no where near your hp.
