Default New Torque Thrust Wheels

Just picked up some new wheels to replace the old stock rims and tires. 17x9.5 on the front and 18x10.5 in the rear. Tell me what you think!

I know it's a little dirty on the back fender

These wheels always look great on f-bodies. Yours looks even better because of the color. What size tire did you go with?

Thanks, I did 17x9.5 on the front and 18x10.5 in the rear. I didn't want to have to retune to adjust the speedometer. The outside diameters are the same as the stock wheels and tires, however they look bigger because of the larger rim and lower profile tires. I couldn't fit the 18x10.5 in the front with out having to roll the fenders.

Thanks, I spent a lot of time trying to find the right wheel and tire combo so I wouldn't have to change anything else or adjust the speedo. I have only see 1 other in life the Maple Red Metallic that mine has.

I wasn't aware that they made the bolt pattern for our cars in 18? Do they have sizes for 18s to fit in the front also? I think it'd look good with 18s all around.

Torque Thrusts used to be played out, but I think less people have them these days. Looks nice!

I agree with having 18's all around. I was impatient and didn't want to wait. I went to TireRack in South Bend, IN and tried out several rims before getting these. I chose to go with a 17 on the front with a thicker sidewall and narrower tire for two reasons.

1.) 18x10.5 was too wide and rubbed
2.) The 17x9.5 was narrow enough not to rub, but also having heavily grooved roads where I live in Northern Michigan, the wider the tire, the harder it is to control.

Here is a link, if it doesn't work just take your time going through the steps on the TireRack website and you'll find them.

I agree, I didn't want it to look like a "pony" rim as it's not a "pony" and the others looked too much like Vette or Camaro rims. Since I am one of 2 - 3 other T/A's where I live that are in decent shape, I don't look like the "jones".

Vette rims are the new TT's. What do they say...everything comes around again?

Yes, I believe that they do. I just chose not to go with it and I didn't haver the patience to have them shipped as I was at TireRack. The tires that were on my car were heavily damaged due to outer tie rod failure and wasn't left with much of a choice.

Very nice wheels, I think you may have swayed my opinion of the torque thrusts. Every time I see these I think MUSTANG, because every damn mustang has these..... And they are usually beat to **** or have a 4x4 wheel gap, blaaaah

They look perfect on here, the sizing you went with is perfection
