Here is what 275/40/18's look like all around. I think I have some slight rubbing in the front but I havent driven car much to know how much it will effect me.

Do 275/40ZR18's.

275 = section width in MM (1 inch equals 25.4 mm)
35= sidewall height 35% of 275mm
275/35 = Aspect ratio

I think the 275/35 would look a little short.

Look at 285/35R18s in rear & 275/35R18s in front if you like lower sidewalls.

Toyo makes the T1 Sport in both sizes, so Nitti probably does as well.

Stick with the 35 series. Lowering an inch an a half, then adding another 1" in tire height will give you some rubbing issues up front with the 40s.

I had 18x 9.5 C5 Z06 all the way around and ran 275/35/18 on all fours with BMR 1.25 lowering springs. You can fit a 285/35/18 tire and i think that will fit perfect.

Nice,

And, I've sold tires for 25+ years. 35's will have a shorter sidewall than 40's.

Potholes will still be tougher on the 35's than a 40's.

If you think the shorter 35's would look better, get them. That's what I would do too.

I am lowered on Strano/Koni's and running a 275/40R18 in the front and a 295/40R18 in the rear. Looks perfect to me. I've had no problems with it but notice a slight rubbing noise when turning the wheel too far. Otherwise, I'd still do it this way all over again; 275/35R18's looks dinky.

35 gives the proper (stock) tire diameter with a 18" wheel. 40 series will give you a 1" larger tire diameter (about 4%), which may rub in the front and may also give you a problem with the speedo and/or computer.

A 275/35/18 (25.58") is well within the stock height range.

Stock tire sizes:
275/40/17 = 25.66"
245/50/16 = 25.65"

Go 285/35, I have them on 9.5" forgestars on the front and 295/35's on 10" wide in the rear, fit perfect, I like a bit of tire out there to protect the lip of the wheel

Yeah a 285/35/18(25.85"), is also within the stock height range and is recommended for a 18 x 9.5 wheel. The only down side is that you'll have less tire option and they'll cost more than the same tire in a 275/35/18.

Here's a few more stock tire sizes I forgot to add.

235/55/16 = 26.18"
215/60/16 = 26.16"

My suggestion would be to either run 275/35/18 or 285/35/18.

The 285/35/18 will fit... it will rub the plastic fender liner in the front just a little.

(I know because that size it what I as running.)
