Fikse serial number decode?
I bought the following serial number wheels.
Contacted Fikse and all they could tell me was they were built for Lingenfelter in 1997.
Contacted Lingenfelter, they have no information on these.
Any one know how decode the serial numbers?
Wheel Serial Numbers:
F162A18 1997 1804

Here is what I got from Alan at Fikse.
"F162A18 means that they are 17" FM5 5x4.75 with 2.796" bore.
1997 means that they were manufactured the 19th week of 97
1804, 1805, 1806 and 1807 are sequencial numbers that are the unique number for each wheel without reference to the specific width or offset. This number was recorded in the database that I have without indication of the width or offset.
I will be happy to walk you through measuring this specific set of wheels."

Pull out your tape measure. There's only a couple possibilities of what they could have been made for. 5x4.75" Fikse wheels in '97 were probably either Camaro or Corvette. Since that was the first year of the new body Corvette that's my guess. You could get pretty close to the real measurements with a tape measure - at least close enough to know how they'll fit.
