What did you have to do in the rear for it to work without rubbing?

Car looks good.

And to Furious1, what rubbing issues would he have? sportlines really aren't that low.

After having a 240sx that was 1" off the ground I laugh at people who say sportlines are too low and ride harsh.

They are one of the lowest off-the-shelf brand name springs you can buy, then they sag on top of that...
The rubbing issues he would have would be from having 17x11s on the rear.

Compared to a proper setup, they are too low (putting you literally on the bumpstops) and ride terrible (goofy springs rates + no suspension travel).

I had BMR springs before the sportlines and actually think the sportlines handle much better.

Also had 11" wide wheels with no rubbing issues.

So I still don't see the point.

Im calling BS on that one. What else was different when you put the other springs on? Sportlines have less spring rate then the BMRs, yet drop significantly more (again, putting you on the bumpstops.)
As far as rubbing goes, did you have anything other than an adjustable PHB? You didn't roll your fenders, modify your bumpstops or do the BFH mod?

Looks good yes, but function>>>form.
You can have a good looking stance that also handles and rides well, but not with sportlines...

Nope did none of the above. The only thing that changed was the springs.

And I agree with desertLS1.

And no You can't have a good looking stance with anything but Sportlines. Your car looks like a Subaru Forester. Something that looks good stance wise /= something that works drag wise which is something 99% of ls1tech members will never understand. YOUR function does not == that of someone elses function.

looks good! I always avoided sportlines due to all of the negative posts about them... even from people who have no experience with them. I've had BMR's for like 1-2 years now, and though I liked the front, I was never entirely happy with the drop in the rear, even with the heater hose mod done too. I just came across a great deal and picked up some like-new sportlines for the rear, and swapped them out a few days ago.. LOVE it. and the I have nothing negative to say about the ride. as mentioned, everyones needs/goals/intentions are not all the same, so different things will work for different people

I may consider getting some for the front as well to drop it some more, so It gets back the slight rake. As of now it looks even front to back, although the rear is actually higher when measured. But I'm not doing anything else till I get some new bilsteins and rotors for the car

quick snap of my current stance

Generally speaking most cars on sportlines looks like some cheap mexican low riders with their tires tucked (crimson seems to be an exception, that car looks great).
And by function im talking about handling. Dont bother trying to tell me again you think sportlines actually handle well, why are they not being used on auto-x/RR cars then? Why are all the competitive ones using much higher spring rates with less of a drop (cars DO need suspension travel you know). Why has someone like Sam Strano with a 1.2" drop won multiple national championships if a lower spring like sportlines truly handle better?
And I dont know of any forester that sits like this from the factory...

Do my old cars sitting on ghetto sportlines look like cheap low riders?

Fortunately I never autocrossed my cars, but as far as a daily driven car they were great. No complaints. Loved the stance.

iv never had sportlines but my buddy that has them hates them but he is also running stock shocks. it seems like the sportlines need a good shock for them to work well. on the other hand i love my strano springs with bilstein HD shocks, i did have to do the heater hose mod though, the back set a lil high for my liking.
