Default Z06 Rims and Tires Rubbing

I recently replaced my factory rims with a set of c5 Z06 rims and factory 295 tires. I put i believe a 1/4inch spaced on them and they are rubbing on the inner fender lip on both sides destroying my sidewall. I cant afford to rent a fender rolling tool, so i plan on cutting the inner fender lip, around the spot welds and pushing the spot welded areas up. Unless anyone else has a better idea, i can really use some help and the search feature isnt helping!! Thanks!

drop to a 1/8 inch spacer. Obviously your offset is putting the wheels too far out.

If its the "inner" part of the wheel well, hammer with a mallet. If its the outer, have someone local roll the fenders properly. It's worth the $75.

If you don't mind ripples in the fender or paint cracking your bat idea would likely work.

I was thinking that ripples might occur and I surely mind them. I guess ill either need to rent a tool or find a shop to do it locally

craigslist!! lol. When I put on my wheels/adapters I was hitting the fender too. Couldn't find anyone on my local forum with the tool, so in a panic, I checked out craigslist. Found several local people doing it, and went to one that same day and got it done for like $60

I rolled my fender lips with a baseball bat without any problems at all. I did it in 107 degree weather, though.
