Anyways i broke loose today on a hard stomp on the gas in 2nd... Man im really disappointed in these tires. Ill have to check out motivos.. Or maybe 555r if these are just regular 555s
how much rwhp are you putting down? and what was the temps outside? motivos arn't going to "hook" any better but are a better tire for all season driving...

and you deff have the regular 555's from the sound of it, which are different then the 555r's only thing i can think of is you didn't get them broken in quite right or your at a much higher rwhp then some of us...

My buddy has a 2010 with NT05s, he says they grip pretty well. I plan on buying a set once my firehawks are done.

555R's aren't any good until the center of the tire is missing tread, leaving just the two outer sipes on each side.

My 555 were hooking in the old 540rwhp/560rwtq nitrous setup, strano springs/bilstein/285 35 18 nittos rear/3:42/6 speeds...this was in summer heat.

BUT, in the cold, anywhere below 12degrees Celcius, IT WONT HOOK N/A with my new engine, which has around 460rwhp/410rwtq...
Cold sucks for summer tire.

Goodyear F1's equal **** and Kumho = worse especially when compared to the 555.... my V6 would burn the hell out of Kumho's....stock with a bad cat and bad MAF in limp *** mode with a slipping transmission......true story..

I like the nittos in my car but its a weekend toy. My wife always complained about the nittos in the rain on her car. I just assumed it was her not driving for the conditions. We both have similar sizes. (me: 235/35/19 275/30/19, her: 235/35/19 265/??/19. On our way back from Texas the car did not feel comforting at all in the heavy heavy rain we through. honestly would have had more confidence if I had been on a motorcycle. With that said as cammed full exhaust weekend car I like mine on my car, for her daily they work for her summer m5 replica wheels but stockers should go on any other time of the year

I call BS on spinning in 3rd at 50. I hook perfect in second on a 40-50 roll and I'm not even on drag radials, I'm on Invos.

Does anyone else's nitto 555 extremes absolutely suck in the rain? I have to do everything but stall the car out to keep the rear end from breaking lose from a stop. On slow turns i can feel it wanting to break lose. At 50mph in 3rd gear at a low rpm if I barley touch the gas it breaks lose. I don't even feel comfortable driving my car in the rain anymore.

If you are talkking about the NT-555R Drag Radials they come molded with 6/32nds new. They will be prone to hydroplaning. Most standard all season street tires come with 10/32nds new.

The other night at 56 degrees out side.. I took a little testrun. Me alpng with 3 friends at 170lbs a piece were in the car... I warmed up the tires for a good 3 seconds... Then launched at 3rpm and even let the clutch out slow... Spun the entire time.....

Maybe its my stock suspension

I'm talking about the 555 street tires. The half used Mickey Thompson drag radials I just took off seemed like they worked better in the rain than these.

I the same tires, and feel the same way. They are useless in cold or wet roads.

Never had the street NT-555, but was able to get by with the Drag Radials on the highway in the rain when they were new, and made it home on secondary roads when they were basically slicks. Temperature is the enemy of any summer compound. The colder it gets the less forgiving they are. Cold and wet would be especially bad.
