which 295/35/18 street tires should i run?
Looking to replace the 305/35/18 nitto drag radials currently on my car mainly because for now my car is my dd and one of my nittos has a nail in it plus they are pretty worn down. Looking at the nitto invo and nto5 as well as the bfg kdw2 just can't decide which to go with. The front tires on the car are 275/40/17 nitto 555

Same boat as you here. I have 18x10.5 rim in back with 315's but price is outrageous. Looking at the kdw's for 295 good reviews on most occasions. You think a 295 tire is too small for a 10 or 10.5 rim?

Lots of people run 295's on 10.5 rims and they seem to fit fine. I would like to run 315's but like you said they cost more plus most of the tires in that size are dr's which wear out pretty quick. The kdw's do seem to have decent reviews and have a higher treadwear rating then the nto5 and the invos so should last longer so i may get those

The only concern for me with the kdw2's is alot of the reviews complain that the road noise is horrible..so bad in fact that alot of people have switched from them just because the road noise was that bad. Most of the personal reviews i have seen on the invos are pretty good so i have kinda narrowed it down to the invos or kdws. The nto5's seem to be better suited for autocross and wear alot quicker

I have the kdw2's 295/35/18 on all 4 corners and to me they're fine. Sure they do have a little road noise but hey I'm not driving a cadillac. Plus my exhaust that I will have once I get the car put back together will cover that anyways. Some road noise for a killer looking tread pattern that has some decent life to them justifies my purchase of them anyways.

Iv had a friend with them, you can deffinately hear them but for me I wouldn't really care. My exhaust would drown it out anyway. Drive ability is only an opinion. Which is why I can drive my 6 speed with a locker everywhere lol

Are your duals dumped? I had dumped duals on my other car and they were annoyingly loud so if the tires are that loud i definately wouldn't want them. I still may give the kdws a try even though the noise seems to be the main complaint with them but im also looking at the bridgestone re760 sports they are actually cheaper then the kdws and have better treadwear and in all the tests i have seen beat the kdws overall

I have had great luck with the Hankook Ventus V12's on my car. I run 275/30/19's on all four wheels, they have lasted me over two years... Sadly they've lasted longer than the rims on my car which are falling apart!!
