Tire size advice

I recently had my car tuned and the majority of the power is top end. I currently have MT ET Streets 275/60/r15 and they are too tall. I have 4:10's and I'm shifting into 4th right before I hit the quarter mile mark.
I'm in the market for new tires, and any tire size suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's also a 6-speed. Ideally, I want to hit the quarter mile mark at the top of 4th and I'm just trying to figure out what size tire will allow me to do that. What I have now is overkill.

how much power is the car making? im in the same boat as to what size tires to buy for the rears on my new drag setup. im at 26" now in the rear with 4.10s and 440whp 6 spd. been wanting to step up to a 28" tire to fill my wheel well but dont want it to effect the 1\4 time negatively

That's a good question. I never had my car on a dyno. I was running 12.3's at 115 before my motor rebuild. That was with my current 28" tires and I was crossing the 1/4 mile at the end of 4th, which was ideal. Now, my car has much more top end power and my tuner told me a smaller tire would help my gearing out. He just didn't know what size to go with.

let me know how those ported ls3 heads work on your motor. ive been told a few times they will not work well with a motor of our size so im interested to see how the car runs and what it makkes for power once its dynoed. but here is the site for the calculotar. just make sure you put in the 4th gear box the ratio of 1.00 and then you can enter different tire sizes and your rear axle ratio.
