Default Plasti-dip and pitted rims

I have a set of Corvette wheels that I love on my car, however they are very pitted on the inside and they leak air. I was told by a tire shop that they would need to be refinished in order to completely stop the leaks.

If I coat the insides of the wheels with Plasti-dip can it patch up the pits in the rims possibly? I have never used Plasti-dip before but it would beat buying another set of wheels.

Please give me some input. Thank you

If their condition is so bad they leak (sounds silly to me), replace the wheels. Lol, plasti-**** (not a typo) isnt a miracle worker.

Are they leaking from pitting or leaking from flaking chrome and loosening debris? If it is flaking chrome/debris, take a wire brush or wire wheel to the bead and clean them up. This happened to me and to countless other people here. I don't see plasti-dip working as a fix-a-flat type remedy. It's worth a shot.

Brush here...
