Default 305/40/18 C5 Z06 on 1999 TA

Will a 305/40/18 fit on a stock suspension 1999 trans am on a c5 z06 wheel. I have a 295/35/18 now that clears. I didn't think a 305 and a 295 were that much different

A 305/35/18 on a Z06 wheel clears.

I'd imagine a 40 series would also fit, but this is just a guess.

You can make anything fit but I think it will rub, that's a tall tire

Diameter
275/40/17 - 652 mm (25.7'')
295/35/18 - 663 mm (26.1'')
305/40/18 - 701 mm (27.6'')

I had a 295/35 on the car originally and the bfh mod gave me about 3/16 gap. 305/40s still rubbed inside. I probably could have massaged a little more inner wheel well and made em fit, but honestly, it looked kinda hillbilly at the stock height. I found a new pair of 275/40s and the fit the wheel better than I thought and look pretty nice under there.

You can make it fit. I plan on running a 325/40/18 tire which sits just over 28'' and I know other cars run them. Everyone runs 325/50/15's which sit right around 28'' too. Just need to beat in that inner fender and remove/modify bumpstops.

I went from 315/35/17 tires to 325/50/15's and had to clearance a lot more of the inner fender due to the increase in tire diameter, but they will fit.
