Default Toyo tq owners come on in

Just ordered a pair of Toyo tq's and was curious how much air you guys generally put in them on the street and at the track. For the price Iv read nothing but great reviews and they last as long as 555r's and grip a ton better.

You may find some good results if you search, I know I've commented on them before. They do hook as good or better than the 555r's. I know I'm going to replace my 555r's with them when they wear out. I did notice the 555r's did seem to hook better at the track, but I was overpowering the by about 200rwtq compared to the nittos, so that comparo is like apples and oranges

Ive been running mine at 28psi on the street but after inspecting them the other day its wearing faster in the middle so i think im gonna need to lower the pressure to get even wear. As for at the track, 16-18psi seem to dead hook for me (~430whp) and my car pulls consistent low 1.6 60fts like that.

i had a set of 315s ran them @ 24-25 on the street and 15-18 at the track... from my experience i loved everything about them 100x better than the 555r's imo ... i also noticed they didn't need a big burn out to get sticky, my best experience with them was with just a short 1 or 2sec burnout

I had a set of 315's on my stang, and ran then at about 28 on the street, and 18 at the track. Great tire...lasted as long as my Nitto 555R's, but hooked much better

I ran mine about 23-25 on the street. As stated above even down at 28 they wear in the center. I loved them, best drag radial I have owned. I have ran BFG's, MT's, Nitto's and Toyo's.

How many miles can you get out of them? Not to steal OP's thread, but has anyone else tried any other toyo tire?

I can't get mine to hook at all on the street and the track they seem to hook for a second and then spin was running them at 22 psi. My car hits the tires pretty hard but I would of thought they would of done better. As far a driving in the rain they do very good

i have the tq 315's on a 17x10.5" rim. they dead hooked out of the hole with the stock stall...best 0-60mph was 3.9. after the 3800 stall my 0-60 is still 3.9-4.0sec hazing them bastards to 35-40mph. from a 20ish roll they dead hook...definately a great tire for the money!

Like others have said mid 20's on the street 16-18psi at the track. I've had mine for a year and I DD them and they still have a good amount of life left on them...

My didn't fully hook on the street with a 3800 stall, but they hooked better than any of the others, lasted a while, and did well in rain. The only tires I had that would hook on the street 100% were my 28" M/T ET Drags. My Nitto's spun just as bad as my cheap *** Sumitomo street tires.

A bolt on, or bolt on and cam car should hook at the track on TQ's, if you aren't hooking on them, most likely you need to look at your suspension setup and/or launch technique. Hooking isn't only about the tire..

I was hitting high 1.6 60ft's on them, full weight, all bolt on's, tune, SS3800 stall, 3.73 gears, LCA's and relocation brackets set on the lower hole. Dead hooked no problem.

I was actually going to update this now that iv tested them out a bit. Even tho its still cold out, the tires are great. I have them at 30psi and can hook without spinning much from a slight roll. Theres still some spinning from a dig but not nearly as much as there was with my old tires. Im thinking that when i go to the track i should be able to hook well with 25psi or so. This is all with an ss3600, and stock suspension (for now, havent had the time to put all my stuff on and try it)

for the price these are great tires and Ill be buying them from now on.

Exactly, i pull a 1.65 or better 60ft almost every time at the track which is enough to pull the left front tire in my car so i would say its dead hooking and thats in an auto with 430whp+. On the street with 22psi, just a quick dry hop burnout and its ready to go, wont dead hook on asphalt but i can WOT it and it will hook up in 1st gear. On a nice concrete street it will dead hook. Had it pulling the left front on the street at tx2k13.

I wouldnt run them at 30psi, i just did my 6 month tire check and as stated it was wearing faster in the center. I have now lowered mine to 22-23 psi for daily driving as ive talked to many other who use these tires and say they wear even at that psi and still work and last great.

Sounds good ill try 25 for now and adjust pressure from there. What would you suggest for a track psi?
