Default Do i need to install these??

Hey, I'm going to install 18x9.5 z06 rims on my camaro and I saw this on the slp site. They call them:

Spacer, Jounce-Bumper 1993-02 Camaro/Firebird

These aircraft quality aluminum jounce bumper spacers are necessary whenever installing 17" wheels and tires on any 1993-2002 Camaro or Firebird. They are designed to raise the jounce bumper to prevent tire contact with the inner wheel well

Do i need to install them?? It looks like it lowers the bump stop a little.

Thanks

You don't NEED them...but they do keep you from having to roll the fenders. I have 315's in the rear and I haven't had problems with fender rubbing yet, and I don't have the SLP spacers.

Well i'm only putting 275's in the back, I don't want to have to hammer on my baby. I already got some but was wondering if i Really needed them.

275's should fit in the rear w/o any issues whatsoever as long and you got the proper back spacing. People can fit 315's without issues, so 275's should go right in w/o any mods at all.

Yeah, if you're just using 275's, you definatly won't need them.

On my old lowered 96 TA, I had Zr1's, and I didn't ever have different jounce spacers. No rubbing at all. I don't *think* the cars with 17's from the factory have any different jounce spacers than the normal v8s.

I'll have to look at some non 17" rim cars, and find out.

I have heard it was, but no facts to back it up.

all the cars i have worked on, have all been SS/WS6 s, and they look the same, but not sure if thats normal, or not

Ryan.

That is the correct backspacing, you shouldnt have any problems.
