Default New wheel setup

I know some people liked my last wheel setup, others hated it.

Figured I'd post up what I'm doing now as for wheels as I sold the white 18" wheels to another member.

I picked up a set of Ronal Gotti G1001's that were made in 1992 for a road racing corvette. 3 piece, one of a kind. They are 17x9.5 et56 and 17x11 et36.

Here's what they looked like when I first picked them up:

But I decided to go a different route with them and tore them apart:

Still deciding what color I want to do the centers, either a gunmetal or white, but I did pick up these bolts to replace the chrome ones:

Also have a full air ride kit from Bag Riders waiting to go on! Can't wait to have the adjust-ability and smoother ride.

Interested to see how these will look on your camaro. Were they chipping paint off when you pulled them apart?

No that's the silicone the previous owner used to seal them. You are supposed to use a black RTV sealant but they used something else.

Also they did a sloppy job of painting the windows so I'm going to strip them all the way down.

If the white wheels you had before are the ones on the car in your sig pic, then I REALLY like the way they look on that car!

(I would have just kept those. )

Wow those look like stepped lip work equips, which I like. I'm interested in seeing how they look on a f-body

Yeah they made a few sets for corvettes but almost all of them are 16".

These had custom barrels and step lips to make them 17", the faces are 16".

And thanks dropped them off at CPC Powdercoating on Tuesday for some sand blasting/powder.

Also the wheels in my sig pic are the ones I sold, I wanted some wheels that weren't replicas.

No they were Volk TE37 replicas. They are 6 spokes, not 5 like Fikse. They were made by Varrstoen.

I always thought that Fikse made a six spoker as well?

Did those Volk replicas fit directly/perfectly on our cars, in the correct offsets/backspacing, with NO need for spacers???

I had to pay extra to have them drilled in our bolt/hub size as they aren't made that way, but the offset was fine without spacers.
