I would say you need a 6 inch wide rim for a 235.Here is a chart. http://www.team3wheels.com/tech_specs_tire_chart.html

235/75-15 roughly 29" tall. for my truck. it just looks real funny IMO with a tire any shorter than that. especially since im going to have a 30" radial out back...

7" wide rim, minimum, 8" is better. If it's an older Chevy truck, I believe that 8" rims were available from the factory, should be easy to find.

I'm getting a set of bogarts, I can either get a 15x4 or spend an extra $400 and get some 16x5,6,7, whatever... But I'd obviously rather save that money and get the 15x4's... My problem is that the only tires I can find that are tall enough are 235 and wider... So just getting a different wheels isn't necessarily an option. And I have a 235 on a 7" wide wheel right now and it's a little bit stretched out actually

The 235 in 235/75/15, stands for the section width of the tire, in millimeters. 235 millimeters is 9.59". Think about it, would you really want a 9.5" wide tire on a 4" rim?

Are you talking about drag race use, or street/strip use?

That would be like putting a 345 tire on a 8.5" wheel...awful idea.

I think that is enough input. Try it and see how fast your bogarts turn to scrap metal and good luck finding a shop to mount that for you.
