Ta on bmw bbs rk002's
i know lots of guys are running bmw-patterned aftermarket wheels and a few with oem bmw take-offs. i happend to stumble across a somewhat rare version of BBS's in some aggressive offsets. they were on a stanced out e36 M3 on coilovers. they were imported from the UK and had been freshly powdercoated a few months ago. ive only ever seen these on camry's, in terrible offsets. when i saw these, i fell in love.
they are 18x8.5" with +13mm offset.
245/40 michelin pilot sport cup's front
245/45 yokohama avs es100 rear
i know the rears are weak but its no different than the oe replica c6z wheels i was looking at first... but at least these have a nice dish and aggressive offset. i already tracked down a pair of 17x10 +28 of this same exact wheel that im going to mount up a pair of 305/35 toyo R888 for my trip to deals gap. oh, and ive got suspension on the way so it wont be in dune-buggy mode for much longer.
this is my first 4th gen though so im pretty excited. i thought id share my new purchase with you guys and the wheels since they seem to be a little less commonplace versus ccw's and torq thusts and welds.

thanks guys
before i stumbled across these, i was just looking for classics or whatever. and i just assumed i would do a gunmetal or hyperblack/black chrome. but the white just pops with the black and compliments it in a way that works for me. black wheels are just a pet peeve of mine. especially flat black. the last thing i would ever do is make my wheels look like they are perpetually covered in brake dust. even clean black wheels still look like filthy dusty wheels.
different is good. i didnt want another cookie-cutter f-body. im glad i didnt settle for oem/reps.

I mean they're no xxrs...lol
What's up Chris? Made your way to to tech i see. Those wheels look great just need to be wider. Different is good, i agree a gunmetal or darker color would set it off.
You should have stopped by the crib i have so much stuff you probably would taken with you for the trip home!

18x10 + 25 will not stick out. Check out my older thread where I'm running 18x10.5 +30 wheels. The wheels you want would be more sunken in then the ones I ran and mine were flush.

Do you think a 19x11 with 15mm offset would be too much? These wheels fronts would be these but I would like staggered look and the 19x11 only have a 15mm offset. http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-531-Wh...0.htm?CartID=1

Steve! Yeah I wish I had dropped by. I'm sure i would have found plenty to use there. Lol.
I was contemplating getting these widened even though I bought the 17x10 pair. Cuz I'm now realizing that the only tire sizes I can buy are 275/40/17 and 305/35/17. I can't find any use tires for a 17x10. But I can find 18x10 tires all day long.
It's funny that very few of the fbody guys like this color combo cuz, literally, everywhere I go, people compliment me on the wheels. Everyone else loves the white on the black. I personally like it and I have no intention of changing to a black or gray or silver. This car is too cool to fly under the radar with low-key styling cues. Matter of fact, I think it's funny if my fellow fbody people DON'T like my car: I named it the Trollzam for a reason. Lol I'm doin it for the haters!
The lowering springs shipped Monday so I'm excited to get them on and the car at a better height.
As to how I'm clearing these wheels: I rolled the fenders. When I first bolted up these wheels, I only rubbed on the passenger side. I think maybes that's the way the axle moves during compression. But since I rolled the fenders, it hasn't rubbed. We will have to see what happens when I get the 17x10's on there: those are +23 offset and goin to stick Out another 9mm than these do now. Currently, these stick out almost a full 2" more than stock wheels.
