Default 3rd gen drag rims specs

I'm asking this for a buddy of mine that's currently deployed in afghan right now and can't access alot of websites on a government computer, so bare with me lol

He wants me to look for a local deal around here for a drag setup for him which most likely he wants a 15x10 and 15x3 (or around that range for fronts) and I wanted to see if you guys knew the back spacing that's needed for his 91 z28. He's got ls1 front brakes so I imagine he would need to grind a little but that's not a problem.

5.75" would be ideal for the rear, but nobody makes a 10" wheel with that. The 5.5" will work, but the clearance with the quarter panel is very tight even with it rolled.

For the front, same as the 4th gen.

Knowing him hed want the 10" wheel just because. Would a 15x10 be hard to come by in a 5.5 backspacing? Thanks for the info!

15x10 with a 5.5" is probably the most popular size available across all manufacturers!

6" backspacing will work, but selection is limited and it requires a smaller tire and lots of work.

No grinding should be needed on the front.
