TOYO PROXES R888 vs R1R
Im looking to get some new rear tires thats can hook well on the street and has good treadwear and mileage. I know its typically one or the other and im looking for 20k miles and the best hold i can get because they will see around 600rwhp. Any one have reviews for the R1R? ive seen people getting close to 20k miles on the R888 DD it and the R1R has a better tread rating so i would think you could get more out of it? Anyone have these? i plan to run 275/40/17

R1R is a street tire. It won't hold 600rwhp.
Even the R888 will struggle but it'll be much closer to holding power than any street tire would.
The alternative is like a Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial or M&H Racemaster or the Toyo TQ or Nitto NT05R... All of those are drag radials so they won't handle nearly as well as the R888 but might provide more straight line grip...
