Default Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 or Michelin Pilot Sport?

I'm going to buy 275/35/18 tires and was wondering which tire y'all thought was better. I have a '99 TA and its a daily driver. so i need a tire that isn't going to give me trouble in the rain (going 80 on the highway), a tire that is going to last a long time, and of course performance . both tires are closely priced I've heard good things about the gs-d3 but was considering the michelin since their usually around $300 but on sale for $239. If you guys could give me your opinion I'd appreciate it. (the goodyear tire got a higher rating in almost every category according to tirerack's survey)
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 $234
Michelin Pilot Sport $239

I got my Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for $205 at Discount Tire. Mine were 275/40/17.

Pilot Sports are THE tire IMO. They handle great, in the rain as well. They don't last an amazing amount of time. But my stock goodyears only lasted 14k. And that is front and rear.

I just upgraded to a nice forged 18" wheel. I went with 275/35/18s up front, 295/35/18s out back. I went with the Michelin Pilot Sports. The new PS2s are out now as well, and are probably even better.

I got the GS-D3's a couple months ago and I'm seriously impressed. Talk about traction. Wet and dry. I also like how they squeel a little before they break loose around curves. I've done WOT runs up to 100 on a slick road with these tires no problem. On my old tires there would be no way I'd try that. I haven't tried the Mich's but I'd be hard pressed to say there would be another tire with better wet traction. I actually get wheel hop on hard launches in the rain. Crazy! Dry traction would be up in the air because I haven't driven on the Mich's I couldn't compare.

Both are great tires that I feel are real close in performance, but the D3's are cheaper so they get my vote.
