What wheels: Pewter WS6
I know this is a beat topic so try not to bash me too hard. I've got a pewter 2000 WS6. I have no idea what rims to get. I feel like pewter needs a little more class than a brighter or darker colored car. The car doesn't have a theme as of right now. Just a gloss black ceta mod and demolded. Looking for something with a lip. Would prefer to keep the whole set under $1000. My last Trans Am had the DD c5's in black with a polished lip (17x9.5/18.10.5). It was an easy choice as the car was red. This pewter has me stumped.

Personally, I'd go find Tony (aka Nineball) who operates DV8motoring for your solution.

Having a Pewter WS6 myself, I've owned Fikse Profil 5's (17x9.5 and 17x11), CCW 505a's (19x10 and 20x11) and now, Race Star Dark Star (17x9.5 and 15x10). I can tell you the CCW's looked the best, but I'm really liking the Dark Stars. They suit me much better in regards to hooking up with the power I'm making. Pewter is one of those colors where polished or black looks good; really depends on the theme of your car and what color accents you have.

I guess my original assumption was right on wheel choices. My pewter ss had chrome zr1s and I enjoyed the chrome on pewter. Honestly, if they still had them in stock is get chrome c5 deep dish all around it.

I think Pewter is one of the easiest to throw wheels at. Black, polished, chrome, etc.....hard to miss in terms of finish. IMO, it's really hard to beat F14 Forgestar's in price and look.

Heres it on silver to give you an idea. Id say gunmetal or black would be sweet on pewter though.

They dont, their plain and low quality. Save and get something that will set your car apart.

I've have had 4 sets of wheels on pewter WS6 to date, while owning it. 1. Torq thrust 2s 17s ( always a mean lookings classic, but a Bitch to polish). 2. Polished Billet Street Lites 17s (shitty center caps, but Beautiful wheels). 3. Dark Stars 15s (lite, but not a lustrous as in pics, once installed imo. Just too much black for me). 4. Current wheels, OE C6 deep dish, black center polished lip 18s (got a killer deal on em used and ended up loving them once on car, and this is from a guy who's ALWAYS HATED vette wheels on Pontiacs).
By Far my favorite were the Street Lites!!!! (once I modded the caps) Regret selling those. However, I Love how the 18s fit the wheel wells on these cars. Its a tough decision, trying to pick a set of wheels (that don't cost more than your car).
