Default Opinions on running rear P285/40R18 Nitto NTO5Rs with 18x9.5" wheels for '02 Z28?

I have a full bolt-on (no aftermarket cam or FI) 2002 A4 Z28 with 18x9.5" Forgeline RS 5-spokes in P285/40R18 street tires all around. To increase drag strip traction, I want to replace the rear street tires with P285/40R18 Nitto NTO5R drag radials. Is this a good set up? If not, then is there a more simple and cost-effective way to increase traction? Thank you in advance for the opinions and/or info.
