Default zr1 questions

I have set of 17x9.5 zr1s. On one of inside spokes it's stamped "LM 1" other spoke "97MY+" and on outside rim is stamped "mc" what brand are these? And what's the value of these 4 rims? They are silver with "ss" center caps. Condition I'd 9/10. Thank you. I tired searching with no luck.

Any raised marking around the valve stem area( JWL) ...?
The factory wheels will have that on them.

OE ZR1-style SS wheels would not be 9.5" wide, so if that's the true measurement from the inside edges of the lips, then it's something other than an original SS wheel.

Here are some pictures of a correct factory '96-'99 SS wheel, with the factory 17x9" / 50mm offset markings on the back:

When I brought them, the guy said 9.5 but I got those same markings on that second pic. I'll post up some pics of it tomorrow.

That's because most people incorrectly assume 9.5" due to all aftermarket ZR1's being made to the OE Corvette width rather than f-body.

They are likely worth 300-400 bucks to the right person.

The problem is most people ditch them for the aftermarket ones. So, while they're pretty nice wheels for OEM, they're not "popular" within the f-body community. You'd have to find yourself a buyer that it looking to stick with OEM stuff or returning to stock... but you'd still be fighting the others who are priced for the market.

Not sure that there is enough interest in the factory-correct 4th gen restoration market to give these wheels any additional value beyond what a set of used aftermarket C4 ZR1 style wheels would be worth. As a point of reference, you can buy a brand new set of the 9.5" aftermarket versions for $440. I think ~$200 is a more likely value for your used set.

Between all the OE versions used on SS models between '96-'99 (and still an available SLP option in chrome through 2002) and the TON of aftermarket ones that have been sold, it's a very common wheel in general. Having said that, personally I prefer the OE version as the spoke edges are just a bit different than the current aftermarket reproductions, and I think the 50mm offset is a better fit than the C4-based 56mm offset used for the 9.5" reproductions. I don't think there are too many people that would be willing to pay more for those minor aspects though.

Keep in mind that the GM OE versions are a better quality wheel than most reproduction wheels.

This is my biggest gripe with the current reproductions. Only us "old timers" would notice it, but I'll buy a used set of repros before I'd buy a new set just because of this.

I agree, I don't know why they changed it. I have a set of OEM spec'ed 17x9", 50mm offset in chrome (on the '98) and also a reproduction set (circa 2007) of 17x9.5", 56mm offset (these were on the '02 that I just sold). Both have the exact same spoke edges. I don't know why the newest generation was molded differently, especially since the original spoke design was already in reproduction so the tooling was available.
