Hint, hint, Sears price matches {at least my local Sears does}! I've bought almost every tire I needed in the last 6-8 years from Sears. Only time I didn't buy from Sears is when I needed a tire they didn't have {Micky Thompson slicks or a Interco Super Swampers for my truck} or if I bought used. They have even given me 5% off over the price match when it's a customer appreciation sale. They will add something like 3 or 5% to make up for shipping {pretty reasonable}.
They do charge alot for mounting and balanceing though, no biggie considering they have lifetime rotation and balancing on tires they sell and install. I just checked Sears price lsat week on Yokohama 032Rs, they were 252 bucks a tire. Check out TireRacs pricing, 263 bucks! Cheaper without even price matching, wait for a customer appreciation sale and save anouther 5%. Not too shabby.
I have bought 275/40/17 BFG DRs for something like 120 bucks or so. I bough a set of BFG 33X12.50X15s once for 108 bucks apiece! And that included 8 bucks per tire for road hazard warranty!
My only gripe was that they didn't carry Kumho {that was fixed a while back, right after I bought a set of Kumho 315s from TireRac! } nor Nitto.
You will most likely have to order the tires, most of the time the wait is around a week or so,,, it has been longer when the tires were backordered. If you are the impatient type, Sears might not be for you.
