17x11 ZR1's are the most common, same with the American Racing Torq Thurst II's. Some people are even putting 315's on the stock wheels, but many look down upon it.

yea i'm probably going with the American Racing Torque Thrust II 17x11 since i already have the 17x9 on now. But as far as getting the tires to fit in the back without rubbing, any guides, suggestions, procedures on how to do it right?

Just need a lot of luck! Some people have more luck than others. The BFH mod may be necessary, as well as rolling of the fenders. But you won't really know until you mount them and see, or wait until someone else has replied to has the same set-up.

I put them on my factory 17x9 WS6 rim. My 315 BFG's wore perfectly even for 7,000 miles, the traction was night and day. And they look awesome.

No need to get a larger rim. No rubbing, no modding, nothing. And I'm even lowered from the G2 Super Springs I have.

I just got rid of the old BFG's and put a new set (2) of GY GS-D3's on the back, they look great and fit perfectly. We'll see how they wear.

if the manufacturur* recomends a larger rim its because the tires tread wont sit flat on the ground more like its bulging off the edge of the rim like a balloon tire. other wise find one that says its ok...if you get a wider rim you wont have that jelly feel to them and turn faster

how much better is putting 315's in the back on handling and traction compared to a really good 275/40/r17? how about the NITTO 555R?

My car is lowered with Eibach Pro Kit springs and I needed to adjust my Panhard Bar to center my wheels. I also decided to BFH just to be safe. I cut away some of my lip on my wheel well also. I have plans of going bigger than 315's in the future..

I have the 315's on stock wheels and I like them BUT of coarse I would OPT for a 17x10 wheel if I could b/c the 17x11's with 315 nittos look like ***!(the wheel is actually wider than the tire) but thats a different case than the BFG's they fit better on a 17x11.

I have 315s on 17x11 TT2s. I had a small spot of rubbing but nothing too bad, Just did the BFH mod a little and it was fixed. It didnt take but 5 min. to do each side. Once it was all done you didnt even see where I did the mod at.

I will have pictures in 2 weeks when I get my car back, I'll make a note of it to send you some.

Send me an e-mail to remind me: are436@hotmail.com.

They look friggin awesome. Some people say not to do it, they don't know what they're talking about, it works PERFECTLY and the tires wear PERFECTLY.

Now, I don't know about road racing and hard corners. But for the street there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, I've taken very hard corners and they're tight as hell.
