Question I know this has been beat to death but......

and yes I have beat the search engine to hell and back also lol but when it comes to drag radials, now im not talking about which hook the best because I have used MTs for years I first used 275/40/17s then 295/45/17s(I like the way they looked on the car but are pricey and I just don't have enough power to warrant them) they are great but since my car isn't that strong I wanted a DR that would last longer since my car sees way more street duty then track lol

ok so I have narrowed it down to Toyo proxes TQ 275/40/17s or Nitto NTO5Rs or the NT555 extreme now I have Z06 replicas which are I believe a bit wider then stock and I remember that Nitto DRs had the only 315/35/17 that would fit on a stock wheel because they ran a little thinner so do the new Nitto 315/35/17s DRs still fit on the stock wheel and are the Toyo proxes TQ really better then the Nittos.

thanks for any advice and please keep the bashing to a minimum this is a legit question and thread

Only Dr's I've had are nitto, 555r, they work well for me and after few thousand miles and trips to strip, no real wear issues lasting well.

I have ran the 555r and nt05r, I massively prefer the 05r, better looking tire, better traction, I do not drive my car in the rain but have been caught in the rain with both and with the nt05r you do have to be careful. But I would highly recommend the nt05r over the 555r all around

Lol, I just saw your response in the other thread. Nothing wrong with starting a old thread back up

I've had the 555Rs and the Toyo TQ Proxes. The Toyos hooked way better and lasted just as long.
