Default What wheels are these?

Trying to figure out what wheels these are because I didn't think the Z28s came with wheels like these in 1996. On the inside there is a 16x8J mark. 245/50/16. Someone told me that these are the wheels that were an option for the convertible SS. Can someone shed some light for me and what would 4 of these wheels in good condition be worth?

They're often referred to as the "ZR-1" wheel, because that design originally was used on C-4 Corvettes that had the ZR-1 (4 cam) engine option. They were later reproduced in a number of sizes, for use on Corvettes and Camaros. Usually, however, they were in the 17" sizes. I'm 99.9% sure that they were NOT a factory wheel, at least in the 16" size. The 17" wheels WERE used on the Camaros with the SS option.

If I remember right, 16inch ZR1's were factory on some LT1 SS cars, I think convertibles.

After some research you are correct. The 16 inch wheels were an option for the 96-97 SS Convertibles. Is there a way for me to tell if they are OEM or reproduction? Like I said they have a 16x8J marking on the inside and a few other markings.

I'm not sure on the code on the wheels, but I don't think there were many, if any aftermarket companies that made a 16 inch ZR1 since virtually nobody wanted them.

Didn't really know this even though I'm in agreement that the 17" ZR1s are a lot nicer. That's what I put on my Z28 and now I was trying to see if there was any value in these 16 inchers.

Actually, AFS DID make them in that size for a few years, in both chrome, and silver paint.
I have a set on the car now, which were originally silver, but had them TOTALLY powder coated (even the lip) a competition grey-like color.

As far as I remember the factory wheels like this for the LT1 ragtops were ONLY available in WHITE paint (but that might have been the anniversary ragtop 'special', not sure??).

There is the OP in the thread up top who is looking for a 16" alternative to the latter LS1 cars' 'snowflakes', so maybe PM him?
