What tires for 18" wheels?

What tires for 18" wheels? So I'm bumping my wheels up to 18" soon and was wondering if there was a comfortable tire that I wouldn't have to replace my speedo gear with. I'm assuming sticking with 40s won't do it. If there is a tire that will maintain the right overall size for the speedo gear, what is it? If not, what is the most comfortable tire size for 18"s?

Definitely need to search.
The aspect ratio of the tire (height) is a percentage of the width.
So a 275/40/17 tire is the same height as a 315/35/17 tire because that "40" height is based off the 275 width, and the "35" height is based off the 315 width.
So you need to figure out what size width wheels you want now before anything else.
