Tire feedback please Im looking for a new set of tires stock 17"s 2000 Firebird.
I am considering the Michelin Pilot sport ps2 but finding it hard to justify the price of $380 cdn a tire.
My other choice is the BFG g-force sport comp 2 at $200 a tire.
Any recommendation from your own experiences?

I would like to get at least 3 years out of them, mainly street cruising with the odd showdown. I only go out in good weather and dont get much driving time with work and having a newborn. Which drag radial would you recommend?
Sounds like the Nitto 555R might work good for you actually. Think of it as a cross between a drag radial and a street tire, because that's basically what it is. I got about 15k out of a set on my Mustang
I have the Comp 2's on all 4 corners. They're a great all-season street tire, good in the rain (not that I drive it much when it's wet outside), great grip when cornering. Just don't expect them to hold off the line. I'll blow through first and most of second if I'm not careful.

I was hoping to post a review of Nitto's new NT555 G2, but apparently "available at launch" means unavailable a month later, no ETA for release, and stealthily remove any mention of 275/40-17 being produced. 
The NT555 is still a decent tire if you can't wait.

On my previous rides, I always had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. These also got me 1.8 60' times. They were great in the rain/snow, and lasted tens of thousands of miles.
I just put a set of Comp 2s on my truck and know they are better than the Pilot Sport A/S. Once the track opens I should break my previous 60' times with the Comp 2s.
