What size tire & DR vs street radial

What size tire & DR vs street radial So originally tires were on hold, but after pulling the car out of storage and having to replug one of my 5 year old Michelins, I think I'm going to have to do rear tires before anything else (fronts are already new).
Wheels are 18x10.5, car will be getting a koni/strano setup later this year, currently running 285/35r18's, I'd like to go bigger.
-What sizes are you guys running?
-I'd like a little extra traction on the street, but would 18" drag radials be horrible at the occasional auto-x?
