NT101's are great street tires & will hook better than the NT05S (max performance). The NT05R will hook best with sacrificed cornering. We went from slicks to the NT101 315/35/17. It was a very good compromise.

315 GY GS-D3 is a great hooking pure radial tire. I had those on the back with my 427ci and they would light up of course, but roll into the throttle hard and they hooked. They hooked for me, much better than the BFG drag radial I tried.
And the GS-D3 is seriously badass in wet conditions, they stick great.
